What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a strong, delivery-focused Engineering Lead with a sharp product mindset and the ability to guide engineers in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with excellent people leadership, ensuring both high-quality engineering output and strong collaboration with product managers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting clear expectations and supporting their growth
- Build strong relationships with direct reports and manage their performance effectively
- Collaborate closely with the team’s PM to align engineering priorities with product goals
- Ensure delivery of high-quality features in line with company OKRs
- Uphold engineering standards and best practices across the codebase
- Remain hands-on where needed, contributing to the product codebase
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team collaboration
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence
Qualifications:
Must-haves
- 2 years + experience in managing software engineers
- Strong engineering background, with strong technical skills
- Product and delivery mindset
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams

Interview Process :
At Flawless, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together.
Our interview process is three rounds with some casual Zoom (or in-person) coffee in between to get to know each other:
- Recruiting Screen: 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you)
- Hiring Manager Screen: 45 minutes with our Director of Product Engineering. This will be an opportunity for us to dive deep on your experience as well as give you an opportunity to learn more about the role, team and your potential manager.
- Skills Interview: 45-60 minutes, for this role, this will be a deep dive into your engineering management and project management experience. This will be done remotely via zoom and focus on exploring past experiences and your reflections on them.
- Final Interview: 3 hours onsite Interview where you will meet a variety of your potential future colleagues. Here we will dig into your technical knowledge, with a System Design interview as well as a coding interview. There will also be a specific behavioral interview digging into how you like to work and making sure there is a good alignment with that and the teams we are trying to build here.
Your Recruiter and hiring manager will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. You’ll meet 6-8 people from across the business. (We make sure that you have time in each interview to ask them questions). If we don’t give an offer, we’ll provide feedback!
