Flatpeak is building a global energy data platform that enables Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), such as EV chargers and batteries, to be optimised in real time to reduce energy costs for end users and support grid congestion and balancing.

We work with leading EV and battery OEMs, connecting them directly to utilities to stream the tariff and programme data needed for high-quality optimisation.

With strong coverage across Europe and Australia, we are now expanding rapidly in the US and are looking for someone on the ground to help scale our data and partnerships.

Role Overview

You will own the expansion and maintenance of Flatpeak’s US utility tariff coverage .

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams — as well as utilities and OEM partners to ensure we deliver accurate, reliable, and up-to-date tariff and programme data that can be used directly in live optimisation and flexibility use cases.

This work sits at the core of our product, and you will play a critical role at the intersection of energy markets, data, and DER flexibility .

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of utility rates from US utilities into Flatpeak’s platform.
• Build and manage relationships with utilities to access tariff data, programme details, and ongoing updates.
• Design and implement a scalable process to keep tariff data accurate and continuously up to date.
• Shape value propositions that align DER manufacturers’ and utilities’ commercial and operational objectives, while delivering a seamless experience for end users.

Requirements

Must have

• Hands-on experience working with or within a utility , energy retailer, regulator, or energy consultancy
• Strong interest in the impact of DERs on utilities and emerging grid services and business models
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, ambitious environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with retail electricity pricing and tariff structures , including demand and peak chargers.
• Familiarity with Demand Response programmes.
• A strong professional network within the US utility and DER ecosystem.

• Working style: High ownership, low bureaucracy, strong collaboration across time zones.
• Remuneration : Full-time: $80-120k
