Summary
We have an opening for an electronics technician to work on testing, assembly support of electrical sub-systems of our newly developed small unmanned aircraft systems and other products.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- IPC J-STD-001 or similar preferred
- Hand soldering/ desoldering experience, with 0201-sized components and fine-pitch ICs, SMT and Through-Hole
- Good dexterity and steady hands
- Working knowledge of adhesives and chemicals associated with assembly: mixing techniques, pot life, etc.
- Can read and understand assembly drawings and assembly instructions.
- Working understanding of precision hand and measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, screwdrivers, precision tweezers etc.
- Lead daily wire harness assembly operations
- Build, inspect, and troubleshoot wire harnesses
- Read and interpret drawings, and work instructions
- Ensure workmanship, routing, labeling, and termination quality
- Work closely with engineering and production teams
- Maintain clean and safe work environment to facilitate efficient assembly procedures
PREFERRED SKILLS
- IPC soldering certification – training may be offered to obtain the certification if not already held
- Experience working under a microscope with components smaller than 0402 surface mount components
Qualifications
A requirement of the position is US Person status (citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence).
