Job Title: Electrical Engineer – PCBA / Capital Systems

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support redesign, integration, and lifecycle management activities for complex PCBAs used in capital systems. The role focuses on component replacement, PCBA updates, documentation review, and collaboration with engineering and supplier teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, PCBA development, or electronic systems engineering.
• Experience working with complex, multi-board electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of component lifecycle management, obsolescence mitigation, and PCB layout redesign.
• Skilled in reviewing system documentation and analyzing engineering files.
• Experience with capital equipment or large electromechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with supplier interaction and global component sourcing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support electrical design integration during acquisition activities and alignment of system-level designs.
• Perform Tier 2 design work involving discrete component analysis and qualification of replacement components.
• Conduct lifecycle assessments, manage component obsolescence, and propose alternative components.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supplier teams to drive design changes and support design transfer.
• Review and update PCB layouts, documentation, and system files to improve manufacturability.
• Work across complex electromechanical capital systems involving multiple PCBAs.
• Partner with suppliers to support global component sourcing and ensure compliance with regulated requirements.
