As a trusted technology and engineering partner, Can-Technologies works with major industrial facilities across multiple sectors including steel, mining, metals, manufacturing, utilities, transportation, and process industries. Our projects involve advanced power systems, automation platforms, SCADA systems, EMIS (Energy Management Information Systems), Arc Flash studies, process optimization, and industrial digitalization initiatives.

We are currently seeking a motivated and technically strong Electrical Engineer to join our growing team.

Position Overview

This full-time position in the field of Electrical Engineering includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Electrical power system studies and assessments, including Arc Flash, coordination, load flow, and power quality studies
Design and development of industrial electrical and automation systems
PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial network integration and troubleshooting
Energy management, sub-metering, EMIS, and energy efficiency-related projects
Medium voltage and low voltage power distribution system engineering
Panel design, system integration, and control system development

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of advanced industrial projects involving power systems, automation, digital energy, industrial safety, and process optimization technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
Experience with industrial electrical systems and automation platforms is considered an asset
Familiarity with power distribution, Arc Flash, PLC, SCADA or energy management systems is an asset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication and organizational skills
Valid driver’s licence required
Must own a reliable vehicle
Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and industrial facilities as required
