Summary:
Responsible for control system and electrical schematic design for machinery, ensuring optimal performance that aligned with specified requirements and complies with international standards.
Responsibilities:
Electrical Design
- Design and develop electrical systems including wiring diagram and control systems that is safe and reliable for automation machinery or modules, ensuring alignment with product/project objectives within specified timelines and customer specifications while meeting required standards and maximizing cost efficiency.
- Utilize AutoCAD for generating detailed electrical schematic and layouts.
- Manage and review Bill of Materials periodically to ensure information is accurate and precise.
Prototyping, Testing and Validation
- Testing and validating prototype designed to ensure they meet required performance benchmarks and adhere to standards.
- Technical Support and Training
- Supporting troubleshooting for electrical, hardware, and functional automation system issues from both internal and external customers.
- Providing training, guidance, and clear communication of electrical design concepts and functionality to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Team Collaboration
- Ability to work in a team environment by maintaining proper communication and cooperation among cross functional teams
- Periodic review and discussion with cross functional teams or SME to ensure project objective are timely met.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source hardware components.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements by applying international standards to design, documenting and managing the certification process to qualify designs and implementations with certification bodies.
Review, Maintenance and Documentation
- Reviewing and maintaining electrical design, implementing enhancements, improvements and design iteration to meet specific needs.
- Prepare technical documentation (Work Instruction, Checklist, User Manual, Datasheet) and reports to support the product development process.
- Ensure informative and updated written documentation related to the product is delivered to internal or external customers.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical design including knowledge of circuit design principles and relevant CAD software, within the automation machinery field
- Capable of speaking Chinese (To deal with China clients) has added advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
