About the Role: At Weights & Biases, our Platform Engineering organization is at the heart of our model training infrastructure—powering the tools and systems used by ML practitioners to build, train, and scale cutting-edge models. As Director of Engineering, Platform, you’ll lead a number of mission-critical teams such as:
Your work will enable our product and ML infrastructure teams to move faster, while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across all layers of the platform.
Who You Are: This is a high-impact leadership role focused on scaling the core services that power Weights & Biases’ model training platform. You’ll drive strategy and execution across four cross-functional engineering teams, partnering closely with product, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams. You'll influence architectural direction, evolve our developer experience, and ensure the underlying systems that support model tracking, identity, and monetization are built to scale with our user base—from individual practitioners to Fortune 500 ML teams. The base salary range for this role is $206,000 to $303,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility)
