The DeGroote School of Business Executive Programs is located at the Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington, Ontario, attracting experienced professionals and emerging senior leaders who are looking to strengthen the leadership capabilities needed to grow their careers and drive organizational success. DeGroote’s Executive Education programs are designed to help leaders at all stages of their careers build critical skills and create meaningful impact within their organizations and communities. The School holds AACSB accreditation, reflecting a globally recognized standard of excellence in business education.
Programs are developed and delivered by a diverse group of senior executives, industry experts, leadership educators, guest speakers, and certified executive coaches. Their combined expertise ensures that learning is practical, relevant, and grounded in current industry challenges. Each program is intentionally structured to foster diverse perspectives, encourage peer-to-peer learning, and build strong professional networks that extend beyond the classroom.

The Director, Executive Education provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight and top-tier decision making for the executive and corporate education portfolio, including the Directors College (C.Dir) for the school. The role is accountable for setting the long-term direction of executive education, shaping a sustainable growth strategy, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, market trends, and emerging opportunities in leadership development.
Operating with a strong focus on strategic planning and portfolio optimization, the Director oversees the development, positioning, and performance of programs to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and deliver innovative, high-impact learning solutions. This includes establishing governance frameworks, defining performance metrics, and ensuring the portfolio remains competitive, relevant, and financially sustainable.
The Director leads business development strategy, cultivating and leveraging high-value partnerships across corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors are cultivated, while identifying new markets and investment opportunities. The role is accountable for financial performance, resource allocation, and risk management, ensuring operational excellence in support of strategic objectives.
As a key member of the leadership team, the incumbent serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on executive education strategy, growth, and innovation. The Director represents the School and McMaster University in external engagements, advancing its reputation, influence, and thought leadership within the executive education landscape.

Proven commercial and business acumen and demonstrated experience in creating professional services business models that generate revenue growth and sustainable margins.
Complete integrity and excellent judgment to be able to deal with complex issues.
Ability to innovate and mobilise resources for successful implementation of priorities.
Strong vision, drive, initiative and focus on strategic objectives to maintain and enhance the School position and reputation nationally and internationally.
Strong technical competence and demonstrated excellence in leading innovation and adopting disruptive technologies.
Experience in managing and supporting executive education programs in a university context is an asset.
