Role Summary
Alchemy is looking for a Director, European Defence Programs to build and advance opportunities for Crypsis and, where relevant, ExoShield across the European defence markets. This is a customer-facing, technically credible market leadership role focused on European MoDs, NATO-aligned defence primes, integrators, end-users, and relevant defence ecosystem partners. The role may be based anywhere in the European Union.
Crypsis is a capability platform that integrates into other products and systems, while ExoShield may support select defence-related vehicle and protection applications. This role requires structured business development, technical customer discovery, disciplined opportunity movement, and close internal coordination with leadership, product, technical, and operations team members.
This is a senior hands-on role for someone who is excited to help build a growing defence business unit inside a fast-growing technology company. This role owns the European defence market while staying close to the work required to create the relationships, systems, and momentum needed to scale.

We are looking for a hands-on, high-accountability operator who wants to help scale a young but proven defence business unit in Europe. This role is best suited for someone who is motivated by an early-stage growth environment, comfortable adding structure as the business scales, and energized by the hands-on work of outreach, research, follow-up, and coordination required to move opportunities forward.
Security Requirements
This role may require access to sensitive defence-related information, controlled technical information, customer materials, or facilities. To be eligible for this role, you must be able to satisfy applicable security, export-control, and background-screening requirements associated with Alchemy’s Canadian, U.S., NATO, and European defence activities.
You are not required to already hold a security clearance, although existing or prior clearance eligibility is a strong asset. During the final stages of the interview process, Alchemy may request information to perform a preliminary assessment of your eligibility for relevant security clearances, export-control requirements, criminal background checks, and other customer- or program-specific access requirements. If successful, we will support you through the administrative process for any required screening, clearance, or access approvals following your start date.
