DevOps Engineer

Build38 is a cyber security start-up that takes care of securing mobile apps. We enable all sorts of solution providers (from car manufacturers to banks, from public transit operators to identity providers) to deliver their mobile use cases in a secure manner. We already protect millions of Android and iOS endpoints with our SDK which, together with our backend analytics platform, provides the most comprehensive mobile app security solution in the market.

We are looking for a “DevOps Engineer” with 3-6 years experience for our growing team. You will work closely with the development team, setting up and managing the infrastructure, establishing enhancements in the processes, and supporting continuous integration, delivery, and deployment in the cloud.

Here is a little taste of your challenge:

• Design and improve our architecture leveraging the latest technologies and approaches like microservices, containers, and cloud computing.
• System performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure automation, orchestration, and security.
• Work closely with the development team to improve performance.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Provide environment set up according to cross-team needs.
• Designing, implementing, and testing CI / CD pipelines.

Who are you? There is no set route to become part of Build38. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

• Computer Science degree or similar.
• Experience in building and managing high availability, high-performance environments with containers or cloud environments. Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX).
• Background using automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc..)
• Solid Cloud experience in AWS.
• Automation is important for you.
• Team player: you are open to ego-free discussions.
