Beckton Wastewater Treatment Works, East London (site-based) Immediate We're looking for an experienced to help us successfully deliver the final stages of a major upgrade at Beckton Wastewater Treatment Works – one of the largest treatment plants in Europe. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you'll bring technical expertise, coordination skills, and a collaborative approach to ensure a smooth finish. - Managing and reviewing electrical design deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, and technical requirements. - Overseeing coordination between electrical design, other disciplines, and site teams to maintain programme and buildability. - Managing technical queries, changes, and assurance documentation in the run-up to commissioning and handover. - Engaging with consultants, subcontractors, and the client to resolve design challenges quickly and effectively. - Supporting construction activities, quality assurance, and final documentation to close out the project. - Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (Chartered status desirable). - Proven experience as a Design Manager (electrical bias) in complex infrastructure projects – ideally in water, wastewater, or process-driven environments. - Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary coordination and working to tight deadlines. - Ability to interpret and apply design management processes from concept through to handover. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
