As Deployment Team Lead you will own Mentee's most visible engineering surface — every live robot moment the world sees. You will build and run a small, high-stakes team responsible for turning Menteebot's newest capabilities into reliable, repeatable external demonstrations.
The role demands both hands-on engineering ability and the organizational range to coordinate across engineering, creative, and logistics stakeholders — with the composure to deliver flawlessly under high-stakes conditions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead planning and execution of high-impact robot demonstrations, from concept through on-site delivery.
• Serve as the primary technical operator and on-site lead for all external robot appearances.
• Coordinate across engineering, creative, and logistics stakeholders to ensure consistent, repeatable execution.
• Work with engineering leadership to prioritize capabilities for external showcase and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop test plans, rehearsal procedures, and readiness checklists for assigned demonstrations.
• Translate demonstration learnings into structured feedback for the engineering organization.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of work experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or AI-integrated physical systems
• Experience leading a small technical team or owning a technical program end-to-end
• Engineering degree
• Demonstrable track record owning high-visibility technical projects under tight constraints
• Experience with Python, C++, and Linux across the full robotics stack
• Hands-on experience integrating ML/CV models on real hardware
• Experience coordinating releases across independent engineering teams
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills
• Calm, decisive judgment under pressure
