Traditional cameras rely on an imaging lens which typically consists of several lens elements and a light sensitive sensor. Cameras have been built like this since 1816. Glass has been historically used to make high quality optical elements. We are replacing these elements with deep neural networks that give extreme flexibility when designing our cameras. It allows us to squeeze a huge sensor into an ultra thin module that fits perfectly into a mobile device without the need for protruding bumps. Our cameras bring SLR image quality into your pocket.

About the role
Glass Imaging is redefining mobile cameras by pairing neural image signal processing (ISP) with software-defined optics. Your work will directly influence how our ML models and optics translate into stunning real-world photos and videos.
In this role, you will drive the co-design of optics and computational imaging algorithms for next generation mobile cameras across multiple industries, including smartphones, drones, AR/VR glasses and emerging platforms. You will own both the physical and computational dimensions of imaging systems—from optical physics such as lens modeling, point spread function (PSF) and modulation transfer function (MTF) analysis, and imaging simulation, to developing differentiable forward models and solving inverse imaging problems through optimization, machine learning, and physically grounded differentiable models—and convert these advancements into measurable image quality improvements on various imaging devices. You will use your knowledge in optics and image science to enable the creation of new camera designs and imaging algorithms with capabilities that traditional means cannot typically achieve, and help deliver them as real-world camera modules in millions of consumer products. Join our dynamic and forward-thinking team to shape the future of camera technology.
