Job Description

As a Database Engineer at EthonAI, you will be responsible for the data layer of our software, laying the foundation to enable data-intensive operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing database schemas and infrastructure to support data-intensive operations and ensure scalability.
• Improving database performance and implementing best practices for optimized database queries.
• Ensuring high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery capabilities for critical database systems.
• Automating database migration, monitoring, and deployment processes to ensure efficient workflows and reduce manual overhead.
• Providing guidance with emerging database technologies and their deployment strategies.

Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• An academic degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering). A Master's degree for recent graduates or a Bachelor's with real-world experience is preferred.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgresDB) and familiarity with their setup.
• Knowledge of time-series databases like TimescaleDB is a plus.
• Working knowledge of running databases in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
