The role

At 9fin, we've built a dedicated Data Operations team in Belfast to enhance our data processing capabilities.

You'll be part of a highly skilled team focused on ensuring high-quality, lightning-fast data is delivered to our platform, enabling our clients to act with speed and confidence.

You'll work closely with teams in New York, London, and Belfast across Leveraged Finance, Structured Credit, Private Credit, and Distressed Debt.

Associate - Financials Team Providing fast, reliable financial and corporate data across a wide range of financial markets is no small task. Our team uses cutting-edge technology to source, analyse, and publish the most relevant information for our clients.

Here’s a snapshot of what you might work on:

• Leverage Proprietary Tech – Use our in-house software to extract financial data from a vast range of documents, ensuring accurate, timely updates for companies under 9fin’s coverage.
• Deliver Actionable Insights – Stay ahead of financial reporting for thousands of tracked companies, rapidly identifying key metrics from earnings reports and providing clients with meaningful insights.
• Ensure Accuracy & Quality – Use cutting-edge technology to extract and validate financial tables, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and data integrity.
• Analyse Financial Health – Map newly reported figures to existing financials, creating a comprehensive and real-time view of a company’s financial position.

About You We’re looking for people with a keen eye for detail and an interest in company financials—whether you’re a recent graduate, have experience in finance, economics, accountancy, audit, or another analytical role. If you have some or all of the following attributes, we’d love to hear from you:

• Growth mindset – You’re always looking to develop your skills and believe that dedication and hard work lead to improvement.
• Financial acumen – Whether from an accountancy, audit, or finance background, you have experience working with financial data, or the ability to learn quickly. Familiarity with financial statements or credit analysis is a plus but not essential.
• Attention to detail – You have strong analytical skills and can spot patterns, inconsistencies, or key insights in company financials.
• Accuracy under pressure – You can interpret information quickly and construct effective solutions to complex problems, often working to tight deadlines.
