Job Title: Data Operations Consultant (Contract)
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Data Operations Consultant to join our team on a 6- month contract basis, with the possibility for extension based on performance. This role requires in-person collaboration with our DataOps team.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation & Monitoring o Design and implement automated, 24/7 data monitoring systems to reduce manual operational tasks.
- Train and cross-train IT Service Management (ITSM) team members on use and maintenance of monitoring tools and procedures.
- Initiatives & Projects o Assist with requirements development, design reviews, test planning and execution of upcoming projects related to data quality, integrity, and platform reliability.
- Act as a technical resource and process advisor across initiatives tied to data platform operations and improvements.
Data Governance
- Assist with planning and implementation for enterprise data governance tools. No tool set has been selected; Consultant shall designate data governance tools experience in resumes. If approved, lead or support the implementation of a data governance tool, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
AI Capabilities (Desired)
- If applicable, support exploratory efforts around integrating AI-driven monitoring, anomaly detection, or operational insights into data workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data operations, systems monitoring, and automation
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of enterprise data management principles and modern data architecture
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and practices (Preferred tool: Power BI)
