Job Summary:
ANSYS develops engineering simulation software used to predict how product designs will behave and how manufacturing processes will operate. The student intern will be part of the Ansys Data Analytics team, analyzing data regarding the end usage of Ansys products and creating reports to help direct the design of the software.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update the Ansys Product Improvement Program (APIP) data reports application
• Work with product managers, stakeholders, and developers to field data requests
• Update APIP data scripts in Azure Databricks using Python and SQLCreate and update data reports in Microsoft PowerBI
• Opportunity to work on production code to add instrumentation functions for data gathering
Qualifications:
Required:
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the co-op program
• Strong and demonstratable knowledge of Python and SQL
• Basic knowledge in data presentation software (such as Tableau, Oracle, PowerBI)
• Basic understanding of data transformations and data anonymity practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Team player, responsible, and motivated
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft PowerBI and Azure Databricks
• Knowledge of C++, C#, and JavaScript
