About The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing data science team. In this role, you will work closely with sensor and instrumentation engineers to analyze complex sensor data, extract meaningful insights, and develop visualizations that support strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the data science tech lead, you will be instrumental in translating raw data into actionable intelligence through dashboards and reports. Your responsibilities will include managing large datasets, ensuring data quality, and collaborating across teams to align analyses with business objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative maritime solutions that drive sustainability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets, particularly in BigQuery
• Strong Python skills for data analysis and manipulation, including pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, and seaborn
• Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to ask the right questions to refine analysis and uncover insights
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Pull, clean, and analyze data from BigQuery and other sources using Python
• Identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights from sensor and operational data
• Create and maintain data transformations within existing ELT pipelines for client dashboards
• Collaborate with sensor and instrumentation engineers to understand data collection mechanisms
• Work with the data science tech lead to align analyses with broader business and technical goals
