• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive system security plans aligned with NIST standards and other regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27000 series and FISMA.
• Lead the design and management of network security architectures including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud environments like AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Oversee the configuration and management of security tools such as Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA firewalls, SIEM solutions like Splunk, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat detection & response activities, and vulnerability research to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Manage incident response processes, incident recovery procedures, and system hardening initiatives to ensure rapid recovery from security events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system administration tasks involving operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), virtualization platforms (vSphere), and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks including RMF, DIACAP, FedRAMP, COBIT, and ITIL best practices for IT governance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with at least seven years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance roles.
• Deep knowledge of computer networking concepts such as routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), network protocols (TCP/IP, IPsec), and network architecture design.
• Hands-on experience with system security plans, system hardening techniques, vulnerability management tools, and incident management processes.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing security devices including Cisco routers/switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, load balancers, and open-source tools like Ansible or Terraform for automation.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST SP 800 series, ISO 27002/27001/27017/27018/ISO , PCI DSS, FIPS compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of identity & access management (IAM), PKI infrastructure, LDAP directories, SSO solutions, and encryption methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile development environments utilizing DevOps practices for secure software deployment.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), virtualization technologies (VMware), threat intelligence platforms like New Relic or SolarWinds, and network monitoring tools such as PRTG or SolarWinds.
