Overview of the role
Nanoprecise Sci Corp is seeking a highly skilled Security Red Team to enhance the security posture of our IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. This role will focus on securing AWS workloads, endpoint protection, web application security, and ensuring compliance with best practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving security controls while supporting penetration testing and incident response initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Assist in planning, executing, and documenting Red Team operations, including penetration testing, phishing simulations, and social engineering campaigns.
• Perform vulnerability assessments on internal systems, web applications, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and IoT platforms.
• Simulate advanced persistent threat (APT) scenarios to evaluate detection and response capabilities.
• Work closely with the Blue Team to validate the effectiveness of detection mechanisms and propose enhancements.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools for offensive security testing (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Contribute to building attack playbooks and post-exploitation scenarios.
• Research the latest vulnerabilities, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and publish internal reports.
Other Responsibilities
The Red Team Security Engineer at Nanoprecise will be measured on their contributions to simulated attack campaigns, vulnerability discovery, tool developement, and security research. Key responsibilities include assisting in red team engagements, identifying and documenting exploitable vulnerability ties, contributing custom scripts or tools, and collaborating with the Blue Team to enhance detection capabilities. Performance will be evaluated based on the number and quality of simulations participated in, validated findings, technical contributions, report clarity, and engagement in learning activities. Success in this role is defined by proactive participation, ethical hacking practices, and a strong commitment to improving the organization’s security posture through hands-on offensive security work.
Required Experience
• Minimum One year of full time employee Experience.
• Working toward a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of ethical hacking, MITRE ATT&CK frame work, and penetration testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with offensive tools like Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark, etc.
• Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, Linux environments, and web application security.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute in a fast-paced envi ronment.
