Job Description

As part of the global risk, credit & compliance team, the candidate’s primary objective will be the contribution to the risk policy setup, supplier risk underwriting competence development and data driven risk innovation to enable business growth. The candidate will be expected to do so through a thorough understanding of the SME client’s profile, supply chain operation and funding pain points, plus deep knowledge of supply chain financing products, solid risk underwriting skills and great passion for data driven risk model innovation to provide high quality & efficiency risk decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Support to establish overall Air8 supplier risk management framework and on-going monitor its implementation to ensure risk performance excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, statistic, math, computer science, finance or economics etc.
5+ years factory/exporter risk underwriting in financial institutions or fintech focusing on SMEs.
Experiences of cross-border trade finance, receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain solutions, SME coverage, or relevant domain expertise is preferred.
Experience and skills in quantitative modelling, data management application of data analysis tools in evaluating alternative data models to support credit risk management would be advantageous.
Able to identify, analyze and solve problems in a very structured way.
Independent, self-driven, matured, resilient, able to handle pressure.

Underwrite risk of Asian suppliers and/or international buyers and continually improve underwriting quality and efficiency by leveraging tech tools, alternative data, and innovative methodology.

Actively manage supplier performance risk exposure of designated portfolio by performing risk assessment and monitoring on counterparties and enabling business growth by executing risk mitigation solutions that are within the company’s risk appetite and policy.

Continually explore and identify internal/external data in various regions to enrich our supplier underwriting and rating models focusing China, India, Bangladesh, and Vietnam etc.

Hands-on experience in improvising credit risk model and/or performance scorecard and formulating new credit risk measurement metrics for credit portfolio exposure management.

Strong experience in credit portfolio exposure management with demonstrated ability to monitor, measure, and manage concentration risk across buyer and supplier portfolio

Actively engage with external stakeholders including funding partners, insurers to gain buy-in upon our supplier risk framework for efficient asset distribution.

Deliver quality risk reporting to monitor the portfolio, and complete ad hoc project in specific area or country.

Collaborate with cross functional teams.

Fast learner, team spirit, adapt to multi-culture environment.

Capability of communication in business English and Chinese.
