Overview

Controls Engineer responsible for PLC programming, automation support, and equipment validation for production lines. The role focuses on new line installation, process improvement, and integration of vision, laser, and robotic systems across legacy and new equipment.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering in manufacturing/packaging environments
• Strong expertise in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens Step 7, Ladder Logic)
• Experience with HMI systems (Wonderware, FactoryTalk View SE/ME)
• Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, Epson, Mitsubishi, Denso or equivalent)
• Knowledge of servo systems, motion control, and industrial communication protocols
• Experience with Cognex vision systems and industrial laser systems
• Exposure to equipment validation and legacy system integration
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify PLC programs for new line installations and existing equipment
• Support automation projects, including system upgrades and enhancements
• Perform equipment validation and ensure compliance with process requirements
• Work with vision, laser, and robotic systems for production optimization
• Troubleshoot and improve machine performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements
• Support training and knowledge transfer on systems and equipment
