Key Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and implement KSA-specific engineering regulations, standards, and legal requirements across all project phases.
• Conduct comprehensive contract reviews to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations and organizational policies.
• Manage and coordinate regulatory submissions, approvals, and ongoing compliance documentation in both Arabic and English.
• Oversee the resolution of regulatory disputes, including preparing documentation, liaising with legal counsel, and representing the organization in negotiations or hearings.
• Develop and maintain compliance monitoring systems, ensuring timely identification and remediation of potential non-compliance issues.
• Provide expert guidance to engineering and project management teams regarding regulatory changes, contract clauses, and dispute management best practices.
• Prepare, review, and translate technical and legal documents, reports, and correspondence in Arabic and English to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, and external consultants, to address complex regulatory and contractual challenges.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops on regulatory compliance, contract management, and dispute resolution tailored to the KSA context.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging risks relevant to engineering projects in the region.

Required Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance within the engineering sector, with a strong focus on KSA laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proven experience in contract review, negotiation, and management, particularly in large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced proficiency in both spoken and written Arabic, with the ability to draft, review, and translate complex technical and legal documents.
• Strong understanding of dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation support within the KSA legal framework.
• Excellent analytical skills for interpreting regulatory requirements and assessing compliance risks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with regulatory authorities, legal teams, and project stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple regulatory and contractual matters simultaneously.
• Familiarity with compliance management systems, document control platforms, and regulatory reporting tools.
• Ability to deliver training and guidance to multidisciplinary teams on compliance and dispute management topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certification in regulatory compliance, contract management, or dispute resolution is highly desirable (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Contract Manager).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regulatory compliance or contract management role within the engineering or construction sector, with direct exposure to KSA regulations.
• Fluency in Arabic (both written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in English is also required.
• Experience working with government agencies, regulatory bodies, or legal counsel in the KSA context is preferred.
