RotoAI is a deep-tech startup building AI-enabled, physics-driven condition monitoring and digital twin solutions for industrial and defence applications. We are seeking a CFD Engineer with strong fundamentals in fluid flow, heat transfer, and fluid–structure interaction (FSI) to support simulation-driven product development and AI-enabled engineering solutions. The role involves hands-on ownership of CFD and FEM workflows, from geometry preparation to validated post-processing insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, simulate, and validate CFD models using ANSYS (Fluent / CFX) for fluid flow, heat transfer, and multi-physics problems.
• Prepare and clean CAD geometry using SolidWorks for simulation readiness.
• Perform high-quality meshing (structured/unstructured) and mesh-independence studies.
• Execute complete pre-processing, solver setup, and post-processing workflows in ANSYS .
• Conduct 1-way and 2-way Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI) simulations using ANSYS (Fluent + Mechanical / System Coupling) .
• Perform FEM analyses (structural and thermal) using ANSYS Mechanical .
• Interpret simulation results, identify design improvements, and prepare technical reports and presentations .
• Collaborate with AI, data, and hardware teams to integrate simulation insights into digital twin and condition monitoring workflows .
• Support validation through experimental or field data correlation , where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech/ M.Tech (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in CFD and FEM
• Strong working knowledge of ANSYS (Fluent / CFX / Mechanical / System Coupling)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for geometry creation and cleanup
• Solid understanding of CFD fundamentals, meshing, pre/post-processing, FEM, and 1-way / 2-way FSI

Desired Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with transient and multi-phase simulations
• Exposure to OpenFOAM or other CFD tools
• Understanding of convergence, sensitivity, and validation studies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, R&D-driven startup environment
