Provides support for University Health's Organizational Goals and management functions through the analysis of clinical, quality, utilization, throughput, and financial data. Manages and provides oversight to the Sr. Data Analysts. Responsible for identifying and monitoring ongoing indicators related to clinical care throughout University Health and identifying areas of opportunity. Develops procedures for monitoring, validating, and reconciling data for accuracy. Assists in the analysis of data as well as developing innovative methods to track metrics throughout University Health. Creates reports based on analyses of data for dissemination and for making recommendations to improve the quality of patient services and health outcomes. Collaborates with departments and project managers in the development of analytical and data visualization methods and support operational and clinical decision-making. Provides training and access to health care providers and other staff for specific data systems and makes presentations of resultant data as they relate to issues throughout University Health. Serves as facilitator/leader of special projects and/or process improvement efforts
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in data management and analysis is required. Master's degree in health-related field is preferred. Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in large health care systems is required. Additional knowledge and experience with clinical care, financial services, and quality improvement is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, decision support systems, and a strong systems orientation is preferred. . Excellent writing and oral skills, excellent organizational skills and knowledge of data analysis and presentation required.
