About Briki
Briki is building an AI insurance assistant for brokers and teams. We help them analyze policies, compare options, and move cases forward faster, with clear and trustworthy outputs.
Why this role exists
We already have a strong engineer building fast. What we need now is a CTO who has worked inside the insurance system and can lead a tech team with confidence. Someone who understands how insurance really works, what can break in production, and how to build software that brokers and insurers trust.
What you will do
Lead the engineering function and set the technical direction.
Work day to day with our existing engineer and help the team ship faster with higher quality.
Translate insurance domain complexity into clear product and data decisions.
Own architecture, reliability, security, and delivery.
Build the engineering operating system: priorities, sprint rhythm, code quality, testing, and releases.
Hire and scale the team over time.
Must have
Meaningful experience in insurance or insurtech, not just interest.
You have built or led software used by brokers, carriers, MGAs, or insurance platforms.
You have led a tech team before and can coach engineers and make strong technical calls.
You are comfortable being hands on when needed, especially early stage.
You think about security and data privacy as first class requirements.
Nice to have
Experience with policy documents, claims, underwriting workflows, or broker operations
Experience building AI assisted products, document extraction, or OCR pipelines
