We are seeking a qualified Chief Medical Consultant to support disability determination evaluations for a government program. The ideal candidate must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Licensure and Certification
- Must possess a
valid and active license to practice medicine (MD or DO)
in the
State of Delaware
.
- License must be
in good standing and verifiable
with the appropriate Delaware licensing board.
- Must be
authorized to perform medical evaluations, issue formal opinions, and sign off on medical determinations
as required by state and program protocols.
Experience and Expertise
- Minimum of
3 years of relevant clinical experience
in medicine, including patient assessment and documentation.
- Prior experience in
disability determination, public health assessments, or functional evaluations
is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to
review complex medical records
, determine case outcomes, and adhere to evidence-based medical standards.
Location and Availability
- Most responsibilities will be performed
remotely (telework)
; however, the candidate must be
available for occasional on-site presence
, especially for paper case reviews or physical consultations.
- Candidate must be
located within the continental United States
;
no offshore or foreign-based work is permitted
.
Technical and Administrative Requirements
- Must be able to
handle and protect sensitive medical and non-public data
in compliance with privacy and security standards.
- Must be
free of any criminal convictions or active disciplinary actions
that could hinder their ability to work with confidential or vulnerable populations.
- Will be subject to
mandatory background checks
, including verification through the
Delaware Sex Offender Central Registry
.
