Position Title: Chemist / QA Executive

Role Summary
The Chemist / QA Executive will be responsible for quality assurance activities related to stainless steel pipe fabrication, cleaning, passivation, water quality control, preservation, and packing. The role ensures that fabricated SS pipes meet approved procedures, internal quality standards, and client requirements.

Supervise and control chemical cleaning and passivation of stainless steel pipes and spools.
Monitor chemical parameters such as concentration, pH, temperature, and exposure time during passivation.
Ensure proper pre-cleaning, rinsing, and final flushing using distilled or specified water.
Check and record water quality parameters such as conductivity, pH, and TDS.
Maintain passivation batch records, chemical logs, and water test reports.
Ensure proper drying, nitrogen purging (where applicable), and end capping of pipes.
Verify cleanliness before and after packing; prevent contamination during handling.
Coordinate with fabrication and welding teams to ensure readiness of pipes for passivation.
Support internal inspections, client inspections, and audits related to QA activities.
Identify non-conformances related to chemical treatment or cleanliness and support corrective actions.
Qualifications
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry OR Diploma / Degree in Chemical Engineering
Knowledge of basic chemical handling and industrial cleaning processes
Experience
¢ 38 years of experience in factory QA, chemical processing, passivation, or related activities
¢ Experience with stainless steel piping or industrial fabrication is preferred
Skills & Competencies
¢ Understanding of chemical safety and handling procedures
¢ Familiarity with QA documentation and record keeping
¢ Ability to work on shop floor and coordinate with multiple teams
¢ Attention to detail and discipline in following procedures

¢ Factory and fabrication shop environment
¢ Involves coordination with production, QA, and packing teams
¢ May require supervision of chemical activities during shifts
