SiPearl is a European semiconductor company focused on designing high-performance, energy-efficient processors for supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Founded by Philippe Notton in June 2019, the company is bringing to life the European Processor Initiative (EPI) project with the goal of fostering European technological sovereignty in critical sectors like defense, security, health, energy, and climate. Their processors are designed to be backdoor-free and kill switch-free, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint. SiPearl's strategy involves close collaboration with over 30 partners from the EPI consortium, which includes scientific communities, supercomputing centers, and leading IT, electronics, and automotive companies. The company's first-generation processor, Rhea1, is based on the Arm Neoverse V1 platform and targets the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, aiming to enable European supercomputers to reach exascale power. SiPearl has secured significant funding, including a Series A round of €90m to launch Rhea1, with investors such as Arm, Atos Group (Eviden), the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund, and the French State. They have also established key technological partnerships with Arm, Siemens Digital Industries Software, and Ansys, and manufacturing agreements with TSMC. SiPearl's first major customer contract is to equip the JUPITER exascale supercomputer.

Founded in 2019 with the support of the European Union 🇪🇺, SiPearl embodies Europe's dream of mastering the technological heart of its supercomputers: the microprocessor.
SiPearl is building Rhea, the high-performance, low-power European microprocessor dedicated to supercomputing and AI inference.
This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, artificial intelligence, security, energy management and climate with a reduced carbon footprint.
SiPearl is working in close collaboration with its 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium - leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centers and industry - which are its stakeholders, future clients and end-users.
SiPearl employs more than 190 people in:
To validate our first tape-out, we developed an initial prototyping platform, using a smart hybrid approach, connecting a real hardware system development board (socket ready) with a small prototyping FPGA board. We also developed a full design emulation platform (Veloce/Siemens) to model the Silicon.
Our team is using those systems to prepare and test the full validation suit and be ready to deploy it when our silicon comes back.
We work closely with all levels of software (BMC, System Control, TFA, BIOS, Kernel) to ensure all firmware and software developed at SiPearl work seamlessly before reaching our customers.
Under the direction of the System Validation Team Leader or any other manager designated by Management, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and compliance of the company’s software solutions.
