💻 About the role In this role, you will work closely with the System & Software Architecture Team Leader and the R&D System & Software teams to define, document and drive software architecture for cutting-edge HPC systems, while contributing to collaborative projects with industrial and academic partners.

🎯 What a typical day at work might look like

• Defining and updating software architecture specifications based on internal requirements, partner inputs, and industry standards
• Supporting software development teams by answering technical questions and providing architecture guidance and implementation models
• Collaborating with partners and standards bodies (e.g. Arm, Nvidia, AMD, CXL, OCP) and contributing to joint projects
• Participating in technology watch activities, including partner presentations, seminars, and conferences
• Sharing technical expertise internally and contributing to working groups and standards discussions

🔍 What will help you succeed in this role

• Strong experience in software architecture within complex systems (HPC, servers, embedded systems)
• Excellent knowledge of ARM architectures, Linux-based software development, and low-level programming
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear and structured architecture documentation
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate risks and propose solutions

➕ Experience in the following areas is a plus

• High Performance Computing (multicore architectures, low-latency and high-bandwidth interfaces)
• Cache coherency protocols and standards (CXL, OFI, NVLink, UALink, UEFI, ACPI)
• Server hardware interfaces (PCIe, DDR, HBM, SPI, I2C)
• Participation in industry standards working groups or collaborative R&D projects
• High performance networking (OFI Libfabric)
• Open Compute Project standards
