Reporting to the Manager, Student Recruitment, the Campus Tour Coordinator & Liaison Assistant (Recruitment) plays a vital role in shaping the first impression of McMaster Engineering for prospective students and their families. This position is essential in delivering personalized campus experiences that reflect the diversity and depth of our programs. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the Engineering tour program – including the recruitment, training, and supervision of student tour guides – and acts as the first point of contact for visits. A primary responsibility also includes managing our two main inquiry inboxes, ensuring timely, accurate, and helpful responses to prospective students and their supporters. From coordinating tour operations, to updating communications and maintaining inventory, this position ensures high-quality, accurate, and engaging touchpoints for all visitors.

The role of Campus Tour Coordinator & Liaison Assistant (Recruitment) offers a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the first impression prospective students and their families have of McMaster Engineering. As the front-line lead for all tours and inquiry management, the successful candidate plays a key role in delivering welcoming, organized, and engaging visitor experiences. A strong sense of organization, an eye for detail, and a passion for helping students find their place at MacEng are key to thriving in this role.
Working closely with a high-energy, collaborative recruitment team this role involves managing a team of 10+ Student Tour Guides, and a broader team of volunteer Ambassadors. They also act as a central point of contact for tour operations, visit logistics (including for school group tours), and inquiry management. You will also be a key user of platforms like The Ambassador Platform (TAP), Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and WordPress.
In addition to leading our tour program, you will also contribute to the success of major recruitment events such as Fall Preview Days, March Break and May @ Mac tours.
