Role Overview
General Aeronautics is building high-performance agricultural drone platforms focused on reliability, uptime, and operational excellence. With 400+ drones deployed in India and strong revenue momentum, GA is entering a phase of disciplined growth and profitability focus.We are looking for a Business Unit / State Head who will own regional revenue, dealer performance, service excellence, and P&L accountability.This is not a pure sales role. This is a mini-CEO for the state — responsible for growth, dealer health, fleet uptime, service turnaround, and institutional business development.You will be accountable for ensuring GA becomes the most reliable and commercially successful agri-drone brand in your territory.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Ownership & Revenue Growth
- Own complete regional
P&L
including revenue, margin, cost control, and inventory discipline.
- Deliver state-level revenue targets, contribution margins, and cash flow discipline.
- Drive institutional sales, government tenders, FPOs, agri-enterprises, and channel growth.
- Build quarterly and annual growth plans aligned with GA’s national objectives.
Dealer & Distribution Network Development
- Identify, onboard, and manage high-quality dealers, distributors, and agri-entrepreneurs.
- Continuously monitor dealer performance (inventory turns, sell-through, service quality).
- Build strong dealer economics while protecting GA’s margin.
- Create scalable distribution systems with structured onboarding and performance scorecards.
Service & Fleet Reliability Oversight
- Ensure high fleet uptime in your state.
- Oversee service engineers and support teams.
- Monitor MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and spare availability.
- Escalate recurring technical issues to central Product/Engineering.
- Drive preventive maintenance awareness and training for dealers.
Market Development & Government Engagement
- Identify state-specific subsidy programs, agri schemes, tenders, and institutional opportunities.
- Represent GA in exhibitions, agricultural forums, and government meetings.
- Build relationships with agriculture departments, FPOs, and institutional buyers.
- Drive brand presence as a premium high-performance solution.
Team Leadership & Field Execution
- Build and manage local team including Sales managers, Service engineers, and Channel coordinators.
- Ensure full field coverage and performance visibility.
- Conduct monthly reviews and pipeline audits.
- Maintain high discipline in reporting,
CRM
updates, and forecasting.
Governance, Reporting & AI-Driven Operations
- Implement structured sales tracking,
CRM
discipline, and reporting cadence.
- Use data dashboards to monitor dealer performance, conversion rates, service turnaround, and customer complaints.
- Leverage

for forecasting, lead prioritization, tender analysis, and competitor intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, documentation, and legal processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in channel sales, state-level business operations, or agri/industrial equipment sales.
- Strong experience in building and managing dealer networks.
- Demonstrated experience handling
P&L
responsibility.
- Experience in government schemes, tenders, or institutional sales.
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional coordination between sales, service, and HQ.
- Willingness to travel extensively within territory.
Preferred Background
- Experience in Agri-Tech, Farm Machinery, Drones, Industrial Equipment, or Capital Goods.
- Exposure to rural markets and agri-entrepreneur ecosystems.
- Understanding of subsidy-driven sales models.
