As the Business Talent Acquisition Lead at the AI Robot Association (AIRoA), you will drive the recruitment of business professionals who support and accelerate our initiatives, including roles in strategy, communications/PR, HR, general affairs, and internal IT. Based on a solid understanding of AIRoA’s work in building a robot data ecosystem and developing foundation models for robots, you will own the end-to-end hiring process: headcount planning, direct sourcing, agency management, design and operation of the selection process, and offer design and closing. Working closely with project leaders and other stakeholders, you will plan and execute business hiring that is tightly aligned with project strategies.
【What Makes the “Business Talent Acquisition Lead” Role at AIRoA Unique】
AIRoA is an organization that aims to advance large-scale robot data sharing and the development of foundation models for robots through the fusion of AI and robotics technology, ultimately realizing a society where robots play an active role. Turning this mission into real-world projects is the responsibility of our business professionals, who lead collaboration with member companies and drive project execution.
As the Business Talent Acquisition Lead, you will be the one gathering those value-creating teammates and actively shaping teams that take on global social challenges. You will experience first-hand how the people you hire go on to launch new projects and partnerships, creating tangible impact and contributing to transformation across the robotics industry as a whole.
【The Appeal of Taking On This Challenge at AIRoA, Just as We Are Getting Started】
AIRoA was founded in December 2024 and entered full-scale operation in FY2025, making it a truly early-stage organization. Major corporations and AI startups participate as full members, forming a unique ecosystem where universities, research institutes, and companies intersect.
In this environment, working as a Business Talent Acquisition Lead is not just about executing routine hiring operations. It is about designing from scratch “what backgrounds we should place at the core,” and “what kind of culture and business portfolio we want to build.” Rather than simply following fixed rules, you will have the freedom to design ideal candidate experiences and recruitment approaches yourself.
【Other】
While remote work is possible, this role is primarily expected to be office-based.
Most of our engineers and researchers also work on-site, conducting research and development directly in front of the robots.
【About AIRoA】
AIRoA was established in December 2024 with two core objectives: “to revolutionize the technology of robot development through the fusion of robots and AI” and “to promote the use of robots in society.” While AI is rapidly advancing worldwide, the shortage of data in robot development has become a critical issue.
To address this challenge, we are running a national flagship project funded by NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), with an investment of over JPY 20 billion.
AIRoA is launching multiple cross-industry projects centered on building a robot data ecosystem and developing foundation models for robots. As we move forward, the role of business professionals who connect technology with society—through planning and managing joint projects with member companies, designing business schemes for real-world implementation, and driving community building and external outreach—will become even more critical. To support this, we have created a new dedicated position to lead business-side hiring and build a robust recruitment foundation that underpins AIRoA’s future growth.
In the short term, you will clarify hiring needs for business roles and improve both consistency and speed in recruitment by standardizing role definitions, hiring KPIs, and selection processes.
Beyond that, you will design a talent portfolio aligned with the roadmap for our robot foundation models and data ecosystem, and build a talent community by leveraging our networks with member companies, research institutions, and startups.
We expect you to help establish AIRoA’s brand positioning—so that when people think about taking on challenges in “Robot × AI business,” they think of AIRoA—through both recruitment and external communications. In the longer term, your scope will expand to include talent management and organizational development for business roles as a whole.

We currently operate out of a spacious office and research facility of over 1,000 m² located in the Ryutsu Center area. In this space, our business teams and engineering teams work in close collaboration, advancing both day-to-day operations and R&D with AI robots always close at hand. The facility is frequently visited not only by members of the AI Robot Association, but also by engineers and researchers from partner companies and representatives from member companies. As a result, it serves as a hub where diverse experts at the forefront of AI and robotics gather and interact.
Today, highly skilled engineers and researchers from around the world are part of our organization. Some members have even relocated from overseas to Japan to join our projects on site. We aim to build a globally open R&D organization where diverse talent, regardless of nationality or background, come together, inspire one another, and shape the future.
