About the Role:

We're looking for a highly motivated and confident Business Development Intern to join our sales team. This role is 80% cold calling — your mission will be to proactively engage potential clients, introduce Mely.ai, and uncover opportunities for automation. If you're eager to gain hands-on sales experience and are comfortable picking up the phone and making things happen, this internship is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make high-volume outbound cold calls to transportation and logistics professionals.
• Research target companies and contacts to personalize your outreach.
• Qualify prospects by identifying challenges and explaining how we solve them.
• Schedule qualified meetings for the Sales team to take the conversation further.
• Log activity and update lead data in HubSpot (our CRM).
• Support email follow-ups and outreach campaigns to help build an early-stage pipeline for the sales team.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Fearless and excited about cold calling.
• Organized, self-driven, and curious.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Available full-time starting in January/February and planning to return to school after the internship.
