Technical Business Analyst (Guidewire Claims Center)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
Technical Business Analyst
with hands-on
Guidewire Claims Center
expertise to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring successful delivery of Guidewire-related projects and enhancements. The ideal candidate will combine strong business acumen with technical understanding of insurance systems and claims processes.

Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Prior experience within
P&C insurance or claims systems
environments.
Familiarity with
Guidewire PolicyCenter or BillingCenter
is a plus.
Partner with business units, IT, and project teams to
capture, analyze, and document business and user requirements
specific to Guidewire Claims Center initiatives.
Facilitate
workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions
with stakeholders to define system enhancements and integrations.
Translate complex business processes into
functional and technical documentation
, including process flows, data mappings, and user stories.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure solutions align with business needs and
Guidewire best practices
.
Participate in or lead
business process analysis
and optimization efforts within the claims domain.
Support
test planning and execution
, ensuring requirements are accurately validated through test cases and scenarios.
Serve as a key contributor throughout the
entire project lifecycle
, from concept through deployment and post-implementation support.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through the
Business Analysis Center of Excellence (CoE)
and adoption of best practices and standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business and IT, ensuring alignment on priorities and expectations.
3+ years of Business Analysis experience
on medium-to-large IT projects.
Hands-on experience with Guidewire Claims Center
(configuration, workflows, or integrations).
Strong understanding of
insurance domain concepts
, particularly claims processes and data structures.
Proven ability to
analyze complex systems
, document requirements clearly, and communicate effectively across teams.
Experience working in
Agile/Scrum environments
and writing user stories with acceptance criteria.
Skilled in
process modeling, workflow design
, and use of business analysis tools.
Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
, and other documentation tools.
Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
