Job Title: Molecular Diagnostics Technician (Research and Development)
Job Description We are currently seeking an industry experienced undergraduate or graduate with specialization in molecular biology or biology to join our team as R & D Molecular Diagnostics Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures to support the development and implementation of molecular diagnostic assays, develop SOPs, Checklists, work instructions, and job aids for use by down stream technicians in operational lab environments. On the job and upskill training would be an option for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory procedures at times by developing the protocols and standard operating procedures and other required documents for ensuring consistently reliable work items and hence results
Assist in the preparation of reagents, solutions, and specimens for analysis.
Outcomes: Complete the development and standardization of direct from blood sample Sepsis diagnostics assays and maternal and infant health assays
Design tests, gather data, and generate reports what are suitable as a preliminary data point for grants and regulatory compliance.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used in molecular diagnostics.
Conduct experiments and assays and provide training to junior staff and interns
Record and maintain accurate experimental data and laboratory records.
Assist in the analysis and interpretation of experimental results.
Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in molecular diagnostics
It is 100% onsite role with location of labs in Union NJ and Newark NJ
Qualifications Graduate or an undergraduate degree from a US based university
A solid understanding in biology is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures in molecular diagnostics.
Prior Laboratory Experience Is a Plus But Not Required. Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work.
