Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem for a Bioinformatics Trainer. The trainer will develop and conduct training programs on bioinformatics tools and technologies for internal teams, clients, and academic partners. Responsibilities include designing course curricula, delivering hands-on workshops, explaining complex bioinformatics concepts in an accessible manner, and staying updated with advancements in the field. The role also involves evaluating and improving training materials based on feedback to ensure optimal knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bioinformatics tools, data analysis, and genomic data interpretation
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl in bioinformatics applications
- Strong teaching, presentation, and communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts
- Knowledge of database management systems and bioinformatics workflows
- Experience in designing and delivering technical training or educational programs
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous learning
- Master’s or higher degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields
- Prior experience in academia, training institutes, or the biotech industry is an advantage
