The User Management team builds and maintains Miro’s core admin and user management platform, enabling organizations to efficiently and securely manage users, teams, and groups through automated provisioning, role management, and organizational governance. By providing seamless management capabilities and robust APIs, we empower customers to collaborate safely, reduce administrative overhead, and unlock faster adoption and growth across Miro.

About The Role At Miro, secure and scalable user management is foundational to how organizations collaborate. As our customer base grows — especially in the enterprise segment — the complexity, scale, and reliability requirements of our User Management platform continue to increase.

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer at an early career stage who is excited to grow while working on meaningful, real-world systems. n this role, you’ll contribute to backend services that power user and admin workflows, help improve performance and reliability, and support the development of new features. You’ll take ownership of clearly defined tasks and projects, collaborate closely with your teammates, and learn how large-scale systems are built and maintained.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a willingness to learn — who enjoys solving problems, writing clean code, and working in a supportive team environment.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the design and implementation of backend services that power user lifecycle management
• Improve system performance, reliability, and observability within your domain
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and actively participate in code reviews
• Create high quality technical design and high quality, self-documented code
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver impactful features and improvements
• Use experimentation and analytics to understand how changes affect user and admin workflows

What You’ll Need

• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, OOP, complexity analysis)
• Experience building backend services in at least one industry-standard language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Product mindset and sense of ownership over your work
• AI-First Proficiency. We’re building for an AI-first future, and we’re looking for engineers who aren’t just using AI—they’re mastering it. Whether it’s using AI agents for autonomous debugging, analyzing logs, or rapidly prototyping and shipping features to production, we value the ability to "pilot" these tools to deliver high-quality code at an ambitious pace.
