As a Backend Engineer at Filum, you will play a critical role in designing and building scalable and secured backend systemsthat power our innovative products

. YoYou will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems, alwaysstriving for the best solutions and going the extra mile to exceed expectations.

A - Daily work

Backend Development:

• Owning backend components or services end-to-end, from designing to maintaining and enhancing.
• Optimize and making trade-offs.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions

Technical Implementation:

• Write efficient, testable, and reusable code to solve complex problems.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability and cost.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure high-quality output.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them to operations and activities.

Collaboration & Innovation:

• Work closely with product teams to translate end-user requirements into backend solutions.
• Go the extra mile to identify areas of improvement and propose innovative solutions.
• Review and giving technical feedback for Juniors’ designs / PRs.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

B - Must have

Technical Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 03 years of experience in backend development with strong focus on Python and JavaScript
• Proficiency in frameworks such as FastAPI or NestJS
• Solid experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of system design principles and architecture
