We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design and build the core infrastructure of our next-generation AI image editing and generation platform. Think Figma + Midjourney, but more interactive and reference-driven.

As an early team member, you’ll play a key role in shaping the product architecture, technical direction, and team culture—while solving some of the hardest problems in AI-powered creativity.

What you'll build:

• AI pipeline handling concurrent generation requests across multiple providers (e.g. self-hosted, Replicate, Stability, RunPod) with cost optimization
• Real-time WebSocket infrastructure for collaboration and live AI generation
• Asset management system handling user uploads (images/videos) with post-processing and analysis
• Database schemas and APIs supporting the service including usage tracking and subscription billing

We want you in the team, if this describes you:

• Production experience with Python and any web framework (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.)
• You've built APIs that handled real production traffic
• Built file upload/processing systems handling GBs of data daily
• Implemented WebSockets beyond basic chat functionality
• Optimized database performance and debugged slow PostgreSQL queries
• Worked with expensive external APIs and reduced costs
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Podman) and basic Kubernetes
• Ability to participate in English-based meetings and discussions.

Bonus points:

• AI SaaS experience
• AI/ML model serving integration (NVIDIA Triton, etc.)
• Distributed systems and high-traffic architecture
• Async processing (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ)
