Location: Pune

Duration: 6 months Internship

Role Overview: As a Backend / AI Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with engineers and product teams on designing, developing, and integrating backend systems and AI workflows. You’ll get hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art APIs, data pipelines, and deployment practices. Mentorship and training will be provided as you contribute to core features and support live projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing backend services using Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Flask

• Support design of RESTful APIs for mobile, web, and internal platforms.

• Help build and maintain data aggregation pipelines & develop POC’s on Agentic AI

• Work with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval

• Participate in implementing caching (Redis), and task queues (RabbitMq) for scalable systems

• Document code, troubleshoot issues, and participate in team meetings.

• Collaborate with Front end engineers to integrate backend Api’s into user flow.

• Learn and apply software best practices: code quality, QA, documentation, production readiness

Technical Skills Preferred:

• Academic/Project experience with Python programming

• Exposure to backend frameworks (FastAPI) and REST API principles

• Basic understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

• Knowledge of version Control tools example GitHub, Bitbucket.

• Interest or coursework in AI/ML, prompt engineering, and Generative AI

• Bonus: experience with simple ML projects, LLM integrations, or analytics systems
