Senior Backend (Python) Developer - AI-Driven SaaS Product - Utrecht / Hybrid – up to 95K
My client is a scale-up that has built and is successfully scaling an AI-driven SaaS product. Their international customer base is growing fast, backed by solid investments. The product helps knowledge workers automate repetitive tasks, giving teams more time for real human interaction and high-value work. While they integrate the latest possibilities like ChatGPT, they’ve actually been building toward this vision since 2018, long before the current AI hype.
The role
As a Senior Backend Developer you will strengthen the tech team, consisting of Data Scientists, Backend and Frontend Developers. You’ll be joining a funny and enthusiastic group that builds high-quality features in a fast-paced environment. We aren' t just looking for someone to pick up tickets; we need a senior engineer who leads by example. You should be the type of person who thrives on continuous improvement - if you see something broken or inefficient, you fix it or create a clear plan how to fixit, document the solution and help the rest of the team learn from it.

Youʼll be working heavily with:
- Python and FastAPI
- SQLAlchemy & Alembic for Database interaction
- Elasticsearch
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Pub/Sub for messaging
- Temporal for workflow orchestration
