Job Description

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our products and services. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to architecture decisions in a fast-moving, distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems to support product requirements
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless system integration
• Design and optimize databases, data models, and queries
• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of backend services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (FastAPI).
• Solid understanding of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/SQLAlchemy)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments
• Experience with testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines

Additional Requirements

• Location: This is a remote role open only to candidates based in Brazil. Applicants must currently reside in Brazil.
• Language: English is mandatory. Applicants must be able to communicate fluently in English (written and spoken).
