Profluo is expanding its Java-based infrastructure to serve as a premier Agentic platform and a global gateway for deep document processing and automated, compliant e-invoicing and e-reporting.

The Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level to Senior Java Developer who enjoys solving real-world enterprise integration problems and improving complex backend systems that operate in production environments.
This role is well suited for someone who cares about clean code, correct abstractions, meaningful naming, strong domain modeling, and building maintainable backend systems that can evolve over time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Experience maintaining legacy enterprise applications

· Knowledge of financial, accounting, invoicing, or ERP workflows

· Familiarity with high-volume transaction systems

· Experience with refactoring large codebases safely

· Understanding of integration patterns, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation flows

· Experience designing reusable components, shared libraries, or internal frameworks

Maintain and improve existing Java-based enterprise applications

Develop new backend features, services, and integrations

Work with XML, JSON, REST APIs, file processing, and business document formats

Integrate with ERP systems, external APIs, messaging systems, and automation platforms

Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues

Design and improve database structures and SQL queries

Participate in technical analysis, solution design, and architectural decisions

Position code correctly within the application layers, such as API, service, domain, persistence, integration, and infrastructure layers

Write clear, maintainable code with meaningful names for variables, methods, classes, and modules

Apply strong modeling skills when designing domain objects, services, workflows, and integration logic

Make good design decisions between encapsulated object-oriented models, procedural logic, and functional-style transformations where appropriate

Collaborate with product, support, and implementation teams

Contribute to code quality, architecture improvements, refactoring, and technical documentation.

Strong Java development experience — JDK 8+

Experience with Spring / Spring Boot

Good understanding of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar

Experience working with: XML, JSON, REST APIs. File processing

Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows

Understanding of backend application architecture and enterprise integrations

Ability to understand and improve existing codebases

Good debugging and troubleshooting skills

Ability to write readable, well-structured, and maintainable code

Good judgment in naming variables, methods, classes, packages, and modules

Ability to place logic in the correct architectural layer instead of mixing responsibilities

Strong modeling skills, including encapsulation, separation of concerns, data transformation, and domain-oriented design

Ability to work independently on mature enterprise systems.
