About Agrikola AI:

Agrikola AI is on a mission to eradicate pesticides and reduce agriculture's carbon footprint through AI and robotics. We help farmers automate their farms by replacing harmful chemicals with robotic solutions that prevent fungi, weeds, and pests — managed through a cloud platform for plotting, activity tracking, and crop monitoring.

What we seek: We're

looking for a hands-on Autonomous Vehicle Design & Integration Engineer to design and evolve the physical systems of our rovers. You think holistically across the full vehicle stack — suspension geometry, FEA, battery architecture, power distribution, electronics, and cost — and care about building autonomous systems not just to work, but to be built right. If you're excited about engineering a real vehicle from the chassis up, we'd love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities

Design the rover's mechanical architecture with field deployment and durability in mind.
Perform static and dynamic structural analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity.
Specify motors, gearboxes, tyres, and traction systems to meet performance requirements across varied terrain.
Design and develop battery systems, including cell selection, pack architecture, thermal management, BMS integration, and power distribution across subsystems.
Select and specify motor controllers and drive electronics, and support vehicle-level diagnostics.
Design active and passive safety systems, including bumpers and emergency stops.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (or final-year student with availability)
Fluency in English
0 to 2 years of experience in hardware or software development for robotics or autonomous systems
Ability to design mechanical structures and run structural analysis, static and dynamic
Solid understanding of vehicle systems: suspension, traction, drivetrain, and motors

What is a plus

Experience with outdoor, agricultural, or field robotics
Deeper expertise in embedded systems and electronics
Experience integrating sensors (cameras, LiDARs, IMUs, GPS) into a physical platform
Proficiency in Python, C++, and/or ROS for hardware interfacing or scripting
Experience with autonomous navigation development, such as SLAM, path planning, or localization
