The Vision
We are designing an autonomous drone dock ecosystem where drones are no longer individually operated devices, but part of an intelligent, coordinated system.
Each dock functions as an autonomous robotic unit. It manages deployment, recovery, charging, health checks, and local decision-making. On top of this hardware layer, we are building autonomous software agents that reason about tasks, conditions, priorities, and constraints in real time.
A centralized intelligence layer continuously observes the system, plans ahead, allocates resources, and orchestrates operations across the entire fleet. The goal is not just automation, but anticipatory and context-aware decision-making. These are systems that surface insights, take action proactively, and significantly reduce the need for constant human intervention.
At scale, this becomes an operating system for autonomous drone operations. It is an ecosystem where hardware, software, and intelligence work together seamlessly.
What You Will Work On
You will help design and build systems that enable autonomous agents to manage drone behavior, missions, and workflows. The work involves orchestrating large fleets of drones and docks with minimal manual control, implementing scheduling and policy-driven decision-making, and building automation that reacts to real-world signals and adapts dynamically.
You will also tackle reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability challenges in live production environments. The problems are systems-heavy, ambiguous, and deeply real world, requiring strong architectural thinking and attention to detail.
Who Thrives Here
This role is a strong fit for engineers who enjoy complex and open-ended problem spaces, think in terms of automation and distributed systems, and take ownership of outcomes from design to production.
Clear communication, mutual respect, and a willingness to learn are essential. Curiosity and adaptability matter just as much as technical depth.
Why Skylark
At Skylark, you will not just build features. You will help shape how autonomous systems observe, reason, and act in the real world. If you are excited about building intelligent systems that feel seamless, proactive, and deeply integrated into their environment, this is a rare opportunity to do so at meaningful scale.
About Skylark Drones
Skylark Drones is building advanced autonomous systems that bring together aerial robotics, intelligent software, and large-scale automation. Our focus is on creating persistent, self-managing drone infrastructure that can operate continuously, adapt to real-world conditions, and scale across complex environments.
We are guided by strong core values rooted in mutual respect, clear communication, ownership, a bias for action, excellence, and continuous learning. We believe great systems are built by teams that live these values every day.
