About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on, technically skilled team member to keep our precision farm infrastructure running smoothly. As an Automation & Electrical Technician, you will be part of developing technical solutions for our production, and responsible for assembling, maintaining, and optimising low-voltage electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations, while also stepping in for core cultivation tasks when needed.
Proximity to Enköping and on-call availability are essential, as well as strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving problems.
Responsibilities
Mandatory:
- Assemble, install and commission mechanical and electrical components and equipment
- Perform inspections, testing, and analysis of systems and functions
- Detect and correct malfunctions, carrying out safety checks and quality assurance measures
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and operational activities in shift reports
- Handle installation, commissioning, and servicing of equipment, machinery and infrastructure
Good to have:
- Design and install industrial electrical control panels, electro-mechanical sensors, conveyor systems.
- Integrate robotic systems with custom end-effectors, sensors, lab instruments, and vision systems.
- Develop and maintain control software for robots, PLCs, and peripheral devices.
- Evaluate electrical and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Design and modify electrical diagrams using specific CAD software
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience in electrical cabling, basic maintenance or construction
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems, sensors and simple automation troubleshooting
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
- Confident in reading circuit diagrams and using diagnostic tools
- Technically minded, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Organized, dependable and solution-driven under pressure
- Comfortable with English (company language); Swedish proficiency is a plus
A big plus:
- Previous experience with collaborative robots or electronic assembly development
- Hands-on experience with 3D modeling, prototyping, or 3D printing for designing robotic tools and fixtures.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience in laboratory automation, process optimization, or analytical instrumentation.
- Any previous experience with Python, JavaScript, ERPNext or the Frappe Framework
- Lives within 20–30 minutes of Enköping farm and holds a driver’s license
- Interest in sustainable farming or tech-driven agriculture
