About the Role:
CardiaTec is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist in Multiomic Data Generation to join our scientific team. This role represents a unique opportunity to help drive CaridaTec’s proprietary data generation work to build the world’s largest proprietary human cardiac tissue multiomics dataset to support the discovery and development of cardiovascular therapies with real, lasting impact.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement protocols for the procurement and processing of human tissue samples for the generation of large-scale multiomics data
- Manage and coordinate relationships with our network of hospitals, academics and contract research organisations
- Coordinate with our technology team for the integration of new data into our multiomic models for the prediction of novel therapeutics
- Support in driving CardiaTec’s proprietary data generation strategy
- Remain on-call across the week to accept or reject human samples offered to CardiaTec from its hospital and academic network
- Contribute to peer reviewed-publications, grants writing , conferences and external collaborations
🎯
Key Requirements:
- PhD level scientist with relevant academic and/or industry experience in handling human tissue samples and generating omics data (Human cardiac tissue specific experience preferred)
- Demonstrable experience in designing and managing multiomics data generation projects
- Demonstrable experience implementing and managing partnerships for data generation
- Strong understanding of technology analysis pipelines for multiomics data
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with sample shipping and logistics
- Understanding of the ethical and legal requirements of human sample handling
- Strong understanding of human heart anatomy
- Well organised for strong data documentation
