Role Description The Assistant System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia . This role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of system infrastructures that support AIoT and related solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, performing system administration tasks, and supporting deployments and upgrades. The Assistant System Engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, provide hands-on technical support to internal teams and clients, and document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions. The role also includes collaborating with senior engineers on systems design, testing new solutions, and ensuring system reliability, security, and availability.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Systems Engineering and Systems Design to support implementation, integration, and optimization of technical solutions.
• Practical experience in System Administration, including configuration, monitoring, backup, and routine maintenance of servers and related infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to investigate, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
