The Junior Assembly Engineer will support the build, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of electronic assemblies and sub-systems. This role involves hands-on work with electronic components, test equipment, mechanical enclosures, and basic production documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electronics, practical assembly skills, and an eagerness to learn advanced testing and measurement techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and disassemble electronic units, PCBs, wiring harnesses, and device enclosures.
Perform soldering and rework on through-hole and SMD components (basic level).
Assist in integrating electronic modules into mechanical casings and fixtures.
Follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions accurately.
Operate basic electronic test instruments, including:
Oscilloscope
Power meters
Digital multimeters (DMM)
Spectrum analyzer (basic measurement and interpretation)
Conduct functional tests of assembled units and record measurements.
Identify faulty components or assemblies and support troubleshooting activities.
Ensure assemblies meet defined specifications and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of test results, issues, and rework performed.
Follow ESD-safe practices, safety procedures, and production guidelines.
Assist in improving assembly processes and test workflows.
Coordinate with engineering for feedback on design improvements.
Support inventory management of basic electronic components and tools.
